PALEC (Programme d’amelioration de la lecture, l’écriture et le calcule) is a collaborative effort between TIDE, India and the Ministry of Education, Govt. of Cote d’Ivoire, to improve the quality of rural education for Ivoirian children and achieving learning outcomes. It focuses on reading, writing, and Arithmetic, in French. This initiative has been undertaken as part of the TRECC (Transformer L’Education Dans les Communautes de Cacao) programme. TIDE is engaged in curriculum development (optimal mix of offline + online learning), teacher training, implementation and support.
